You get two hours of gaming on a good night.
Everyone ranking you had six, and they made sure you knew it. Somewhere in the last ten years the lobby started calling you old.

03 — You have been here before
You have been
here before.
Gaming's default player is a choice somebody made. Young, able-bodied, English-speaking, free at 2am. Nobody asked the rest of us.
You're different. They don't like that.
You have heard every name they have for you, in every lobby, for years. You reported it. Twice. Nobody read either one, so you play muted now.
You know what a real squad feels like.
Then you got out, and every battle since then has been you trying to explain what you've lived through to people who will never understand.
You typed in Spanish and got told to speak English.
Or the event ran at 3am your time, and nobody thought about that once.
You have been told to get good by someone who has never remapped anything.
You have waited a year for the accessibility options, and waited again.
Four of those five are the man who built this.
Lazaro “MARS” Estrada is over thirty, ex-forces, Latin American and disabled. He went looking for this room in 2022. It did not exist. So he built it, and he still owns it.
Defaults
04 — So we changed the defaults
So we changed
the defaults.
The rules get enforced.
Respect. Zero tolerance on hate speech and discrimination. Anti-toxicity. Not posted. Enforced, year-round, including when it is inconvenient.
He did not stay the only one.
Every member of the team gravitated to Paradox because there was something they were looking for in other communities and they couldn't find it. Paradox now boasts of a diverse roster of community members, staff, content creators and competitive e-sports gamers.
Somebody is online when you are.
Other people here work. Nine to five, overnights, split shifts. Nobody has to be awake at 2am to be worth a squad slot. Nobody has to explain why they are logging off.
Say it in your own language.
We run channels in more than one language. Somebody answers you in the one you posted in. Not a translated afterthought.
Game together.
Grow together. Win together.
Grow together. Win together.

Not a roster. Some of the people in the Discord, in their own words.

Our
community
Here there are so many ways to enjoy your favourite game, whether you want to be competitive or just stream or just hangout with friends.
Most nights are just nights.
A full squad in whatever you already own, at the hours you actually play. No rank to defend, no tryout, no minimum. You show up, you get a game.
A ladder, if you want one.
Competitive rosters across five titles, and roster slots open right now. Paradox has paid out of its own pocket to send its own players to major tournaments.

Paradox TV publishes scrims, ranked nights and lab sessions from the people who play here. We help you make it and we help people find it. Starting from zero followers is fine.
07 — The door is open
The door
is open.
Say hello and somebody answers you the same day, by name. That is the whole promise, and it is the one nearly every community breaks.
